The candy merchant is a character in Candy Box. He sells the player various items.
Annoying
The player can annoy the candy merchant for a few benefits.
Touching the goods
By repeatedly clicking on the lollipop offered for sale, the player will eventually reduce its price by ten candies (and the price of a batch of ten lollipops, also by ten candies).
Touching his hat
By repeatedly clicking on his hat, the player will eventually obtain one-hundred free candies.
Buying candies
If the player buys 10 lollipops, the candy merchant will say "Thanks for buyin'! Here's your ten lollipops. Various flavours."
If one lollipop is bought he will say, "Thanks for buyin'! Here's your [randomly selected] flavor lollipop."
